| Hey everybody... This is sad news, I know, for xanga-land. But as of today, I am officially retiring my xanga page, in favor of another one, a real-deal website. Well, sorta real-deal, doing it through mac and all.
The URL: http://web.mac.com/benjaminoldham
We gots photos and writing and a blog and everything, the whole deal. You can subscribe to the blog through your RSS reader, too, if you likee...
Thanks for the ride, y'all. Stop on by. And see you on the flip-side.
| So, I was inticed to the Belief-O-Matic religion test, from our very own Xanga pages, and got some interesting results about what they think that I believe. The top ten religions with which I have the most in common:
1. Mainline to Liberal Christian/Protestant (100%) 2. Orthodox Quaker (88%) 3. Liberal Quaker (87%) 4. Baha'i Faith (86%) 5. Unitarian Universalism (86%) 6. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (72%) 7. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (71%) 8. Reform Judaism (68%) 9. Christian Scientist (66%) 10. Orthodox Judaism (62%)
Hmm... Turns out my family is right (sorry for the jab, family): I am liberal. Heh Heh. More interesting than that, however, is that Baha'i and Unitarian beat out Conservative Christianity! Believing in Jesus certainly hurts my Jewish scores, to which I apologize to Abraham Heschel, for whom this blog it titled. And... drum roll... I guess that my premonitions were right, and should check out these here Quakers just a bit more, eh?
In other news, I'm about to buy a computer, over which I've been drooling and envying for many months now: an Apple BlackBook, 2gb RAM, 160gb HD. Ahh... I think that sort of hurt my Buddhist scores, which ends up way down the list.
Be well, y'all.
Oh, and because Xanga continues to thwart my best intentions, not mention creative vision, here's the URL for the Belief-O-Matic that I couldn't insert: http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html
| ...I have decided to officially announce my re-entrance into blog-land. However, as blogger feels so much easier to use, I'm moving over there. But, you know, you can come back here from time to time, if you like. So here 'tis:

And yes, in four years, you can call me "Divine Master." That one is for you, Doctor Fred...
Maybe I'll see you all (four in one day, wow!) on the flip side.
| Okay, so why has it been SO LONG since I've posted? Honestly, I can't believe that I'm even on here tonight. But yeah, if any of you are still out there, know for now that it has been a crazy last few months, and an even crazier year. For one, and tonight only one, tonight I am writing from Seattle, where I've lived since August, and this week am finishing my first term as Mars Hill Graduate School. And I have no idea what is happening, but I know that I'm changing.
So yeah, send me a line if you're reading this. It'd be nice to know if anyone still checks this out.
Lata.
Oh, and a still from the Cash video "God's Gonna Cut You Down." It shows Bono painting it. Heh.
